Aubrey Baxter was born and raised in Redfield, SD. She was a decorated four sport athlete (track and field, volleyball, basketball, and softball). After graduating in 2004, she played college volleyball and competed in track and field for a year and decided after the season she would focus solely on track and field. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University in 2009m with a major of Psychology and Sociology minor.
After college she continued to compete and go to school. In 2012, she took a break from school and concentrated on training at Oklahoma State University and then in Modesto, CA. In 2013, she had her first baby and achieved a master’s degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development with an emphasis in School Counseling. Aubrey is now training again hoping to make her dream of being an Olympian come true in 2016.
Aubrey is a 12-time National Champion, holds two National Records, and is a 24-time All-American. She is a 3-time Olympic Trials and USA National Championships Qualifier, finishing in the top 8 all three times. In 2012, she was ranked #5 in the country and #24 in the world.
