After graduating from PLNU, Casey stepped away from competing and turned his focus to coaching.  He spent two years coaching the girls’ cross country team at San Juan Hills High School in San Juan Capistrano, CA.  He spent the 2013 track and field season as an assistant coach at his alma mater, PLNU.  In the fall of 2013, Casey graduated from Concordia University of Irvine with his Master's in Coaching and Athletic Administration.  Casey joined Team Nebraska in October of 2013, looking to chase down new PR's.
