PRs:
Marathon — 3:00:29 (Rock and Roll Arizona 1/16/11)
Half Marathon — 1:26:08 (Omaha Marathon 9/26/2010)
Jennifer Freeman has been running off-and-on her entire life. She was on her high school cross country and track team all four years. She then decided to run for fun until she had her son, Keith, in 2006. She wanted to train for a marathon to lose her excess baby weight and ran her first marathon in 2008 in Omaha, which qualified her for the 2009 Boston Marathon. Jen started to become more competitive each race, and joined Team Nebraska after placing second in the 2009 Omaha Marathon, with a time of 3:10:17.
Jen has raced eighteen marathons, numerous half marathons, and two 50ks within the past 7 years, earning a position on the leaderboard in various local events, including winning the 2015 Omaha Marathon which was always her goal. She also works as the Assistant Health and Fitness Director at the Jewish Community Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Most importantly, Jen's a proud mom, and her son, Keith, who runs track and cross country, inspires her to work hard at being a successful runner representing Team Nebraska.
