Breelan Kear took 10th overall Female with a 1:24:53. Peter Falcon led the men with a 13th overall finish and a PR of 1:12:34, congrats Peter! Luka Thor, Jeff Yao and Lee Anderson all finished under the 1:20 mark. Jeff ran a PR a week after his 5K win at the UNO Stampede. Congrats Jeff, he has worked hard and there are exciting times ahead for him.
Shannon Suing led the Women placing third overall! Congrats to Shannon on an inspiring race. Megan Niesen finished at 3:27:48 for a PR as well. Cory Logsdon led the way for the men with a 7th overall place. Tim Langdon and Tim McGargill both had PRs placing in their age group. Miguel Odorica was also well under the 3 hour mark. Miguel, also had a master's win at the UNO Stampede 10k the week prior.
We also want to congratulate Eric Noel and Kaci Lickeig for their inspiring victories. It was a special day to see our hometown athletes rising above the conditions. Nebraska has a deep pool of talent, and we are proud to represent our state!
We will be defending our title at Market 2 Market IA this weekend. Justin Mollak will be racing the Collegiate Peaks 50 Mile race in the Trail Nebraska kit. Jenn Freeman will be racing the Brookings Marathon in the weeks ahead.
