A few Team Nebraska athletes competed at the Living History Farms cross country race in Iowa. The 7-mile, rugged cross country race took place in cold 14-degree weather. Peter Falcon led the way, finishing 48th in 46:20. Jimmie Doherty finished 67th in 47:55. Barbara Wehde finished around the 58-minute mark.
Two athletes competed in the Ironman Arizona triathlon over the weekend in Tempe, AZ. Steve Stender finished the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run in 13:23:13, placing 206th in his division. Shawna Young finished in 14:48:57, placing 101st in her division.
Three Team Nebraska athletes competed in the Waterford 5K in Miami, FL. David Bohlken finished 4th overall in 16:13. Cory Logsdon and Jimmie Doherty were 6th (17:01) and 7th(17:15), respectively.
Two athletes competed I the Nike Heartland XC Championships. Colin Morrissey and Casey Kear ran in the Open division, finishing in 15:43 and 16:43, respectively.
At the Beer and Bagel Run, Matt Seiler finished 9th in 26:08.
Ashley Miller competed in the Tulsa 15K in Tulsa, OK, held on October 26th. Her time of 56:14.00 surpassed the previous Team Nebraska club record of 56:41, held by Bridget Easley.
Also, Cory Logsdon won the Thunder Road Race 5k in Sheldon, IA. His time was 17:41. Cory completed the Chicago Marathon only a few weeks ago.
