Starting with the USA Half Marathon Championships held in Duluth, MN, Luka Thor finished in 77th place in a highly competitive race. His time of 1:07:30 is a two-second PR from the same race in 2012. Bridget Easley ran to a new PR and 50th place in a time of 1:20:34, taking just under a minute off of her previous best time. This comes just over a month after her win at the Lincoln Half Marathon. Amazing performances by both of you!
Three athletes ran well at Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN. Justin Mollak finished 51st overall in 2:39:06. Justin took six minutes off of his previous PR from Lincoln 2011. Just over a month ago, Justin was a pacer at the Lincoln Marathon.
Lily Kaftan ran an outstanding race, finishing as the 49th female in 3:11:25. She had a HUGE PR since her first marathon six years ago. Lily continues to improve; she ran a PR at the Lincoln Half Marathon in May.
Blake Wageman ran well in her first race in a Team Nebraska jersey. She finished as the 62nd female in 3:14:49. Impressively, Blake camped out the night before with her entire family and still ran strongly in the marathon. Awesome job in your first race on the team, Blake!
