Eric Rasmussen won in 32:23, while Luka Thor came in second in 32:51. Colin Morrissey crossed the line in 3rd with a time of 33:12, with York Thomas not far behind in 4th in 33:35. Nate Stack rounded out a fifth place finish with a time of 34:59, allowing Team Nebraska to sweep the top five spots. Peter Falcon and Cory Logsdon both made the top ten, finishing 9th and 10th, respectively, in 36:00 and 36:16. Bob Miyake ran the course in 36:52 while Jimmie Doherty finished in 37:17.
For the women, Megan Zavorka finished as the second female in 38:51, while Shannon Suing was 3rd in 40:08.
Team Nebraska had several more women finishing in the top ten, with Haleigh Riggle (5th) in 40:49, Natalie Jetensky (6th) in 41:29, Leslie van Winkle (7th) in 41:45, Jen Freeman (8th) in 42:21, and Laura Neel (10th) in 42:29. On a side note, Jen Freeman competed well at the Sioux Falls Marathon only a week before, and this was Leslie van Winkle’s debut for Team Nebraska. Shawna Young (45:37) and Nicole Nelson (45:42) also ran well on the hilly Corporate Cup course this weekend.
Also running this weekend, Andrea Bowen was the first woman to cross the line at the Wabash Trace Nature Trail Half Marathon. Her time of 1:35:27 was good enough for 9th overall.
